Material Selection Before Molding

Material choice should match the hanger application. PP is often selected for practical and cost-sensitive hanger programs. PS can be used for certain display or economy styles. ABS is usually considered when stronger structure or better surface appearance is required.

Before molding, buyers should confirm the target use, garment weight, hanger width, hook type, color and packing method. These details affect material choice, mold suitability, unit cost and MOQ.

If a buyer needs a specific color, a Pantone number, color card or physical sample is helpful. Screen images are not reliable enough for bulk plastic color approval.

Mold, Shape and Structure Confirmation

Plastic hanger molding depends on mold availability and structure design. Existing mold styles are usually faster and more cost-effective. New shape development, special shoulder curve, custom width, reinforced body or unique clip structure may require extra confirmation.

Important structure points include shoulder thickness, bar strength, hook area, anti-slip notch, clip connection and hanger balance. If the design is too thin, the hanger may bend under load. If the hook area is weak, it may break during use or transport.

Color Control and Surface Finish

Plastic hanger color should be confirmed before mass production. Regular colors such as black, white and gray are easier to arrange, while custom colors may require higher MOQ and longer sample confirmation.

Surface finish also matters. Buyers should check whether the hanger surface is smooth, matte, glossy or textured. Rough edges, flow marks, color spots, shrinkage marks or uneven molding can affect both appearance and buyer acceptance.

If the order includes logo printing or label application, the logo area should be checked together with surface finish. A smooth and stable surface helps improve logo clarity and consistency.

In-Process Checking During Production

Plastic hanger inspection should start during molding, not only after packing. Main control points include material condition, hanger width, shoulder shape, hook strength, edge trimming, color consistency, surface finish, load-bearing performance and packing quantity.

For clip-style plastic hangers, clip connection and tension should also be checked. For retail or private label orders, logo position, barcode label and packaging should match the approved sample.

If required, final inspection or third-party inspection can be arranged before shipment.

MOQ, Lead Time and Quotation Details

MOQ for plastic hangers usually depends on style, material, color, mold condition, logo method and packaging requirement. As a general reference, MOQ is usually 500–3,000 pieces per style. Existing mold styles and standard colors are usually easier to start than new custom designs.

Most custom samples usually take 5–10 days depending on color, structure, logo process and packaging. Bulk production usually takes 20–35 days after sample approval and deposit confirmation.
